I could be imagining it, but I thought there was a way to type something like +12 to jump ahead 12 frames. I can do the math, but it would be nice to not worry about it. Is there a feature when I can type “+” and the number of frames I want to move the current frame bar to?
I don’t think this is possible by default yet. However, you can try using Agora Studio Tools for this – Agora Studio Animation Tools | Fab
Take a look at Jump Frame Increment which determines the number of frames to jump forwards/backwards when pressing Shift + Left/Right Arrows.
This could work, but not how I was thinking.
When blocking work in, I think in seconds, or half-seconds. So whatever frame I’m on, I might say, in two seconds, get to this location, etc. So, I would click in the Current Time field and type +36, to jump a second and a half forward.
But with your proposed solution, I could just use 4 frames as my jump increment, and press the hotkey 9 times…
Thanks
You can do basic arithmetic in those fields. So to jump ahead 36 frames, you can do this:
Ctrl+T (shortcut to focus on the current time)
+= 36
And/or if your time display is in seconds (Ctrl-Shift-T to cycle through frames, seconds, timecode), you could also do +=1 to jump ahead 1 second.
