Sequencer Focus tracking is broken?

Hi,

  1. How do you track focus on a character which has translation built-in the animation? It tracks fine if the translation is done manually on in-place animations but that’s not useful much.

  2. Why doesn’t the manual focus eyedropper pick the characters, it picks some objects fine but some it doesn’t?

OK, solved 1. by attaching an empty actor to character’s head bone and tracking it. But I was wondering if it should be able to pick bones?

I’m in 2024 and this still doesn’t work. You can track ‘actors’, but trying to track specific bones just isn’t functional even though the UI supports it in sequencer. Meaning you can only uselessly track the origin of the scene when you have an animation on a character. Easy fix to create a tracking cube attached to the character but a needless step if this was just implemented how it should be.
