Sequencer, Blueprint Interface (Actor) Events and PIE mode

I have a sort of chicken and egg problem .
I have several Actor Blueprints that I need to trigger from Sequencer.
In PIE mode when I play back in Sequencer I can get the events properly triggering.
However I lose the piloted camera animation in Sequencer.

If instead I exit PIE mode and only playback Sequencer my Sequencer camera properly animates but then the events don’t fire.

What is the best solution keeping in mind I need to render everything out?
