Hey all! Got a question for you. Animated a whole lot of cool stuff using the new Beta sequencer. Now I’m trying to move all of the animated keyframes/sounds/triggers forwards to make room for some elements at the beginning. Though I can select everything using Ctrl+A or shift+click once I go to move a keyframe it only selects the one under the cursor and moves it. Does anyone know of a method to get all the animated properties to move forward? Even nudging them using a keyboard shortcut would help.
I suppose if not the only thing to do would nest this current sequence inside of another one and move the whole thing forward but then I’d have to have two seperate decks of keyframes for the same objects…
You should be able to marquee/rect select a bunch of keyframes and then click on just one of the keyframes to move/offset all the selected keyframes. Here’s what the marquee/rect select looks like if you haven’t already done it:
Another alternative is to disable the “Infinite” toggle on these tracks:
Once you do that, you should see a “bounding box” of the keyframes:
That’s called a “Section”. That Section has its own bounds that do not have to be constrained to the keyframe bounds. You can move the Section just by clicking and dragging on it. You can also scale the ends of the section by holding down control and dragging either end. This will scale the keys using the other bound as the pivot.
In a future release, we’ll add a transform dialog that will let you type in the amount to offset/scale keyframe values/times by.
Good suggestion on the keyframe shortcuts for nudging. I’ll add it to the list of feature requests.
