Sequence cutscene lag/ different in-game to in engine?

Hi all hope you’re having a great day/ night!
I’ve been trying to learn how to use the sequencer in unreal engine for my personal project but I’m having a few issues that I can’t find solutions for online?

When playing in the sequencer, the cutscene plays perfectly, the character moves and animates at the times outlined in the sequencer… however, when this same cutscene plays in engine, there is some strange lag around the time the character begins walking? (Clips for context:)

For context, I’m using paper ZD for the character and am blending the camera into the sequence- I’m also having this problem with another cutscene as well at the start of the level- however this is not as bad, the character only freezes for a half second before continuing to walk.

I have absolutely no idea why as I am still a beginner at unreal working on my first project so any help/ advice would be greatly appreciated! :heart:

Just on case anyone else is stuck with this issue: I was using a clone of the player for the cutscene, then deleting it, then making the player visible. When I retried this I just used the player for the cutscene and gameplay and there is no longer any glitches!
