Separate Release Form for demo and full game?

I am planning on releasing the demo of my game on the itch store. Epic states that I must fill and submit the Release Form before shiping a product to be entitled for the $1M royalty exemption. They also state that the exemption is applicable per title.

The demo and the full game will be on the same store page. Do they count as two separate products, or it’s basically one title (with the demo being extra downloadable content) and there’s no need to submit the Release Form twice?
(Note that the demo will be free but with donations enabled)

Also, I may publish the same game on steam at some point. Will I have to submit the Release Form again?

I would appreciate any help, Thank you!

The demo and the full-game are technically the same title or “Product”, which is the definition we use in our EULA.

General rule is that you must submit the Release Form before any distribution of the game that will generate revenue. As per our EULA, in the Royalty Addendum:

Before you Distribute a Royalty Product that will generate revenue, you must give Epic notice of your intended Distribution (“Notice of Distribution”) as early as reasonably possible and in any event prior to the Distribution of the Royalty Product. Likewise, if you plan on beginning to generate revenue from a Royalty Product that you have already Distributed, you must submit a Notice of Distribution as early as reasonably possible before the Royalty Product is used to generate revenue.

Hope that helps!

Thank you, this helped a lot.

I have one more question.

In the Release Form I have to put the URL of my product’s page. I assume this means the page of the store my product will be released to (correct me if I am wrong).

What if I release my game on multiple stores? Which URL should I put there?
