I just developed an IOS app, previewed it for a client, and they would like to purchase it in order to distribute it along their dealers. I’m already signed on the Apple Developer program and fully understand how to publish content on the App Store. My question is, do I need to pay royalties to Unreal Engine for profiting on an app developed with their technology? If so, how do I go about it? Is this something Apple handles with UE directly and I do not need to get involved? Any help / assistance will be much appreciated.
If you’re looking to release an app under the EULA, this page should be what you need. As for royalties, Apple will pay you and you are responsible for reporting and paying your royalties to Epic.
