Selling the Likeness of Famous people with their Name should NOT be allowed!

There is an uptick in Assets (such as Metahuman Models) that clearly look like famous Actors/Actresses without any mention of “license or permission”. What makes this even worse is literally “using” the name of the actor as the name for their asset. How are these assets being allowed to get into the Unreal Engine section?
When I purchase an asset from FAB, my reasonable expectation is that this “product” has gone thru some vetting prior to be allowed to be sold.

It also doesn’t help that we can’t simply report this without having to go thru a lengthy process. Malicious reporting should obviously be tracked and prevented once it is recognized, but being able to report these things should be relatively easy!

I SHOULD NOT Be seeing: “Cannot GET /site/error-500” when trying to report what appears to be copyright infringement.

Hey @Macktek  I appreciate you taking the time to reach out regarding this issue, and more so that the reporting infrastructure isn’t working as intended.

Would you be able to provide me with some links to the assets you’re referring to so that we’re able to investigate this?

Also, any steps to reproduce the error-500 you experience in the reporting process would be great.

Thanks!

The FAB submission process, like the reporting feature and pretty much everything in FAB now, is fully automated. So no human sees it until someone files an actual report and argues with the automated response a few times.

That’s why so much illegal stuff is being allowed on FAB now.
