Sell Plugin on Marketplace with Epic Content for Showcase map?

Hey!

I want to sell my plugin on marketplace. My plugin is code plugin.
I wish to visualize features of plugin in showcase map. But for create it, I need some animations and maybe some graphics. I’m not animator or graphic designer, so for me create simple animation is a pain ;-).

Quote the following page:

[2.1.e] Sample content from Epic Games must not be an integral part of your product, but used for display or example purposes only.

[2.1.f] Substantial portions of source code, Blueprints, and/or Material Blueprints from Epic Games must be used for example purposes only.

So I have question for this:
Can I for example get animations from this Epic Content plugins like:

or from learning content

and use animations inside my showcase map to visualize my plugin features ?

Yes that is ok. As long as they’re not “integral”, as in are needed by your plugin.

No it’s not integral. You can delete overview content and overview map and plugin will be working as intended.

So I have additional question:

  • in plugin description I must to mention where I get animations and graphics from ?

That sounds fine. You don’t have to declare Epic content as “Third Party Software” - it explicitly states that. If you have any doubts about anything, there is a comment section in the submission table, you can ask anything there.
