We’ve been working a lot on a scene, and the more and more we needed to modify small things, the more we realized that this feature could be a game changer.
Imagine having a scene, where you have a platform, or a table top, or an elevator, or anything, that would contain TONS of meshes, decals, etc. I’m not talking about 10-15 meshes, but more like 50-100 mixed ones. Selecting these all - even with grouping and for the first time - can be a real pain in the a*s. We’ve came up with the idea of selection volumes. Place a volume in the level, set it around your scene parts, and have a button on details panel saying “SELECT”. Click that, and every mesh, sound, decal, actor that’s inside or intersects the volume would be selected in the editor.
Not sure how many people would find it useful, but we sure would love to see a feature like this volume based selection.
