When I use the filter lasso or rectangle and add or subtract with shift or ctrl, it won’t work once I changed from on to the other. Instead, it just starts a new selection. This also happens when using ctrl-z for undoing. After selecting the model again in 1Ds with a mouse click, it does work again.

do you mean when changing from the lasso to the rect selection tool, or changing shift to ctrl?

I am using shift and ctrl for adding and subtracting from a selection.
When I use ctrl-z to undo a step, then even if I press shift or ctrl, nothing is added or subtracted but an entirely new selection created. The same happens, when I am for example in lasso and change to rectangle or vice versa…
I am not encountering any of the described problems.
Does this happen to you just with this project? Which version (build) was this project originally created in?
Anyone else experiencing this issue?
The project was created a week ago with the newest version.
I did however encounter this before, not sure which build that was though.
But you’re right, I just tried again and now it works. So there must be something else involved that happenes before.
I’ll get back when I know more…

Regarding shift and ctrl - I think that is quite individual sn differs grealty. In Photoshop for example “alt” is subtracting…

first i thought it is related to the reconstrRegion, or mixing different selectionTools, but no luck to trace this issue down.
sometimes it works as expected, but more often it starts with a new selection.

today CR simply vanished without a message while cleaning up the model using the lasso tool…
As for using shift and ctrl keys, this is a design decision, it varies across different software, especially when the programs are used for quite different purposes.
Our developers cannot fix the ‘selection inconsistency’ unless we can provide them with exact reproducible steps leading to the issue.

as described before, this behavior is not reproducible sometimes it is working correctly…
more often when i try to add or substract something with the lasso tool, it is starting with a fresh new selection!
no matter which project i´m trying to edit.
…and this happenend only twice now, CR quits with no errormessage just using the lasso tool in ReCoTab.
last time i got a little window showing up telling me CR is already running.
