I’m working in UE 4.15/4.16 on OS X and I’d like to have all the editor’s audio output going to my studio monitors via my external audio interface (RME Babyface Pro). The BFP is set as the default system CoreAudio output, but UE is putting everything out through my Macbook Pro’s built-in speakers - they’re pretty terrible at the best of times, and even worse when the MBP is closed and being used with an external screen/keyboard/mouse! I can run a cable from the headphone jack to the BFP’s line inputs, but that massively confuses my hardware routing template.
So my questions are:
is it possible to configure the audio output device manually in UE on OS X (an .ini switch or something; I see nothing in the preferences GUI)
if not, is it possible in UE on Windows?
if it’s possible on Windows but not OS X, is this just an oversight that might be fixable in a future update if I ask nicely?
