Currently if you use a custom object in a Populate Tool there is no way to select the material that the object uses. The material spawns in the material browser in a random location and you end up with many instance of the same name object but no way to tell what material the object is linked to.
eg here in the asset properties the material should appear but it doesnt
Right click there is no select material
It is not even possible to see the full name of the object in the populate tab. In this example there are multiple grass trees but we dont know which is which because the full name is not visible. q_q Go to library does not highlight the object. Not sure if this is a bug or intended.
When creating multiple areas
The material is generated but its a huge pool of exact same names and impossible to tell what is what. The “assigned on” button does not work with areas.
These issues are really big for actual production work, very frustrating when working with landscape designs, basically makes it not usuable as a software for anything other than very simple things.
It seems like a small quality of life update/ fix that could make Twinmotion much more usuable!
