I am looking for an experienced programmer with game networking and server setup skills and knowledge to help build a two player networked VR Action Game!

The ideal applicant should have the following experience,

  • Using libraries for things like NAT punch, UPnP
  • Setting up and using database on server
  • Using 3rd party game backend services
  • Setting up servers to run the lobby system and storing player data
  • Have good communication skills

Your main task would be to set up a server to run the lobby and matchmaking system which you also create, and making the game playable over the internet for two players using a direct P1-Server -> P2-Client method.
We will need to implement a player ranking system and store play and character game data then using this data in the game.
Other work would be to help analyse game network play performance and help optimize this.

Blueroom is located in Vancouver, Canada and applicants in or near this location and time zone would be preferred but I will be open for more remotely located people if the fit is good.

This will be paid work.
