Hello everyone,
I’m new to 3D game development and planning to start working with Unreal Engine. I’m in the market for a laptop that can handle the demands of 3D game development smoothly. Since I’m just starting out, I’d love to get some advice from the community on what laptops would be a good fit for my needs.
Here are a few specifics I’m looking for:
- Budget: Around $1500, but I’m flexible if it’s worth the investment.
- Performance: Capable of handling Unreal Engine without major lag or crashes.
- Portability: Preferably something not too bulky since I might need to carry it around.
- Longevity: A laptop that won’t be obsolete in a couple of years.
- Other Features: Good display quality, decent battery life, and reliable build quality.
What I’ve considered so far:
- Acer Predator Helios 300
- MSI GF65 Thin
- ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14
I’m open to any suggestions or insights you might have on these models or any other laptops you think would be a great fit for a beginner in 3D Unreal game development. Your recommendations and advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance!
