Seeking a Talented Unreal Engine MetaHuman Artist – Cinematic Performance Capture (PAID OPPORTUNITY)

Sunflower Sings Films is seeking a talented Unreal Engine / MetaHuman artist to collaborate on animated sequences for the upcoming sci-fi short film Greedy for Life.
The project blends performance capture, MetaHumans, and cinematic Unreal environments to create a surreal, retro-futuristic world where ultra-wealthy patrons dine at a high-tech restaurant that serves immersive experiences of lives they never lived.
We recently completed a Live Link Face performance capture session with professional actors and are now looking for an Unreal artist who can help translate that captured performance into expressive MetaHuman animation for several cinematic sequences.
This is an opportunity to collaborate on a stylized narrative film project exploring real-time filmmaking and performance capture workflows.
Technical Brief
The production has already captured facial performance using Live Link Face on iPhone, along with witness camera video and high-quality audio recordings of the dialogue. The selected artist will receive the Live Link Face capture files (ARKit facial blendshape data), witness cam recordings for performance reference, and synchronized audio tracks. These assets will be used to drive MetaHuman facial animation within Unreal Engine 5, with the goal of refining and polishing the performances into cinematic sequences using Unreal Sequencer.
Responsibilities
• Import and process Live Link Face capture data
• Apply facial animation to MetaHuman characters in Unreal Engine 5
• Clean up and refine facial performances
• Sync facial animation with recorded dialogue
• Collaborate with the director to shape character performance
• Help assemble short cinematic sequences using Unreal Sequencer
Ideal Experience
• Strong experience with Unreal Engine 5
• Experience working with MetaHumans
• Familiarity with Live Link Face facial capture workflows
• Experience with cinematic animation in Unreal Sequencer
Bonus if you have experience with:
• Virtual production pipelines
• Control Rig or facial animation cleanup
• Cinematic lighting and rendering in Unreal
About the Film
Greedy for Life is a retro-futuristic satire set in a high-tech restaurant where wealthy patrons consume immersive experiences of lives they never lived.
The film blends science fiction, dark comedy, and stylized visual storytelling, combining live-action performance with animated MetaHuman sequences.
