See team member through the walls PP Material broken

Summary

Post-processing material which should allow to see team members through the opaque object only works when other players stand very close to the camera. But instead should work with any distance.

Steps to Reproduce

  • In island settings set mode to Teams or any other which splits players into teams.
  • Add post-processing volume into level and set high priority.
  • Create post-processing material with functionality to see team member characters through the opaque objects such as walls.
  • Add created post-processing material into input field inside post-processing volume.
  • Launch session and have at least 3 players so that in one team there are 2 players.

Expected Result

Players from the same team should see each other through the opaque objects, such as walls, without any distance restriction.

Observed Result

Players from the same team can see each other through the opaque objects only when standing very close to each other.

Inside post-processing material used custom and scene depth to mask characters.

FORT-846720 has been created and its status is ‘Unconfirmed’. This is now in a queue to be reproduced and confirmed.

Hi, here. Created inside UEFN.
What’s interesting is that we today did a play test with playtest group and most of us could see team members through the walls. And person who joined in progress couldn’t see anyone and plus his team members couldn’t see him.
And in sessions launched from UEFN editor not working as in the video above.
