Section tool using geometry scripts and/or motion design tools 5.4

I am in awe of the new tools in UE 5 and having played with both the geometry scripting tools and a little with the new Motion Design toolbox I remain baffled as to how to create a Sectioning Tool that I can use in editor and in Sequencer for architectural projects.

I’ve been cycling through lots of online tutorials etc. but perhaps the forum could advise if what I want to achieve is even possible.

I want a tool that I can drag into a scene, giving me a bounding box, that will boolean away ANY static mesh in my scene. So at the simplest level its doing what the slice plane geometry tool already does to meshes BUT it would be non-destructive so I could move it around in real time to look at different sections.

And of course if I can do that then I want to animate it in sequencer, simple position movement.

My stumbling block is a way for the tool to ‘see’ all my meshes in my scene, and then enable the tool to convert them on the fly to dynamic meshes so the boolean can be actioned.

Forgive me if this is a simple thing to achieve…I have tutorial overload !!

Cheers
