Section of Landscape goes Black, then Physical Material messed up.

Hi everyone,

I’m using AutoLandscape material for my landscape, have set up the physical material for footsteps and they all sound off correctly (image 1).

On my map, I have to manually paint some areas with different layers; for instance, I want to put a damp soil near the character. But when I did that, the entire section went black (image 2).

The textures go back to normal after pressing Play :arrow_forward: (image 3), but the footstep sound is messed up. Within that black area, it sounds off the default footstep sound.

I tried repainting everything back to AutoLandscape, but the issue did not go away. It seems to be permanent unless I export the height map and re-import as new landscape.

Could someone please help me with this?
