Script not recieving input even with Enable input activated

Hello. I was working on a script and when debugging I noticed that the script wouldn’t read my input when i was pressing the key. I have the enable input node connected up to an event begin play node and a player controller which fires when I start the game the the problem still persists. This issue seems to occur in both level and class blueprints. I checked my player character blueprint and block input is unchecked. I have no idea what is going on and any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers.
