Screen space reflection problem

Hi, normally my screen space reflections are fully black (first pic).

untill i point a sport light (intensity of 1.000.000 cd) to it. then some really vague and blurry reflections can be seen (2nd pic)

these are my settings:

Project settings:
Use hardware ray tracing when available = on
software ray tracing mode = global tracing
support hardware ray tracing = on

PostProcessVolume settings of the screen space reflection:

  • intensity to 100
  • quality to 100
  • max roughness to 0.6 (default)

Would love a response!

@ClockworkOcean do you know to fix?

Hi - I’m afraid I know almost nothing about reflection. I think there’s about 5 different ways of doing it, and you need to choose the one that works best with your requirements.

One thing I would say, if the reflections are black is, have you put a reflection capture in the scene?..

@ClockworkOcean is it possible that, even when i have "“use hardware ray tracing when available” turned on, the reflections will allways be Screen space reflections because my graphics card (GTX 1050) isn’t capable of hardware raytracing?
