Screen Blink Bug at RTX2080

I use the RTX2080.

The version of Unreal Engine is 4.20.3.

The version of the graphics driver is 411.63.

The games are running well. However, if you hover the mouse over the UI of the engine, the screen will blink and the engine will be difficult to use.

I want to communicate this problem to the developers. What should I do?

Sounds pretty much like GeForce experience conflict. Consider disabling it, the overlay has caused some users to experience UI issues, mostly performance and usability.

Even if it does not solve it for you, you’ll will at least know it’s related to something else.

What kind of monitor are you using?

Make sure that the Windows Setting HDR is on for apps and games, and it solved it for me.

Same problem here on GTX970 driver 416.34 UE 4.20.3. Has anyone already found a solution? Really annoying. The only fix that i found is delete the graphics driver after that windows will install 388.13. But after that other software like substance painter starting to yell that driver is outdated.

Ok, so this issue definitely more relates to Nvidia and their drivers than Unreal Engine 4. It has nothing to do with GeForce Experience.
So i found several solutions, each fixes the problem (for me at least)

1: Rolling back to 399.24 driver or using system default drivers(388.13). I hope new RTX cards working fine on these drivers.

2: Enabling HDR in Windows settings on 416.34 drivers fixes the issue too but it changes the colors so you need to calibrate your display

3: Using monitor with different connection. (VGA monitor in my case not having this issue on 416.34)

I’m not sure that my problem is exactly the same as yours, just in case, I will describe in more detail.
My screen blinks black every time i hover the cursor over some UI elements of the engine. Starting with the Unreal Project Browser. Hovering over “Project” “New Project” tabs makes screen blink. Inside New Project Tab hovering over “Desktop / Console” “Maximum Quality” “With Starter Content” boxes makes screen blink too.

It has something to do with the monitor or the connection. I’m using my TV UHD as my main working display it connected via HDMI, my second display connected via VGA - DVI. When im dragging UE4 editor to my second display and hovering the cursor over UI elements my second screen not blinking while my main screens blinks.
Using different hdmi ports (only one of the ports is 2.0 and has HDR support) not doing anything.

P.S I had similar issue before, but it was happening with video players even inside browsers, my screen was blinking every time UI (play, rewind, stop) buttons was appearing and disappearing.

To stop some the flicker, turn on mouse trails to the shortest.

Add mouse trails to the shortest, turn on HDR in windows and on monitor.

the same on my case, black screen flashing, when you move the mouse etc…with tv samsung 65 Q8 on 4k resolution. RTX 2080… any solution? . I am working on a videogame and now, I can not use my UE.
I finish to build my new pc today and when i run UE, woooooooooo

Please, any suggestions other than to return to drivers 388, or the odious hdr of windows10. I have to test many game projects and I am ok with my current hdr per application. Every hour without solution counts for me.
