A personal project I have been working on and off for months. Inspired by Arrival (2016). The project is running on Unreal Engine 5.1 with Lumen. I am using Megascan assets and the landscape is made in World Creator 2. The entire landscape is 8km by 8km. The distance landscapes are nanite meshes of the same landscape cut into pieces and arranged to make it looks seamless. The shaders for the water, planets, and the structure in the middle are custom made. I am using planar reflection for the water. For the landscape, I am using customized M4 material. I am also using FluidNinja VFX tools for the vortex fog and clouds.
