Scene with wireframe material extremely flickering

Hi there!

I hope you can help me with my problem I need to solve for an international film project:

I modelled a building in Cinema 4D with very simple geometry and put it into Unreal- so far so good. The producers of the movie want to see this building in wireframe style so I made a wireframe material. I set up the lighting, shadows an so on …

Looking at the editor screen I noticed a weird flickering of the lines especially in darker areas of the scene (mostly in indirect lighted areas). It looks something like a animated noise wobbling over darker parts of the scene. I hoped that this would only be an issue in the editor but unfortunately it also appears in the final render.

I’ve tried to optimise lighting, shadows, exposure, material settings … but nothing worked.

Does anyone have an idea to solve this? I’m working with UE5.1

Thank you so much!

I tried different approaches to solve the problem. It seems to be an anti-aliasing issue.

If I go to project settings and change the anti-aliasing method (engine - rendering) to something else than TSR the flickering is gone … but the all the wireframe lines now look chunky …
