Scaling in Unreal 4 from Maya

Hi I have problems when exporting my geo from maya to U4, seems the scaling is waaay too small.
I set up Maya so that it works in Meters then created my object that was 2 cubic meters big and imported it into unreal 4.
Once imported I had to scale it 100x times in order to see it in the viewport and static mesh editor.
Why?
Is there a tutorial on how to set up Maya correctly?

Switching from meters to centimeters in Maya should take care of it. 1 unit in Unreal = 1 cm in Maya.
