Scaling destructible mesh parts without making them get closer to center.

Hi I want to make my DM parts scale down to 0 after some time, but they are relative to it’s parent (destrcutible mesh component) so if I scale it down the position of parts gets scaled down to (they attrac to center of DM component (static after damage). So is there a way to make them smaller? Scaling only height doesn’t look good.
