Says Not Enough Space But There Is

Operating System: Mac

My Problem When Trying to Install/Re-Install Unreal Engine:

I have 74 GB available on my Mac BUT I received the following error message when trying to install/re-install Unreal Engine:

There is not enough space at /Users/Shared/Epic Games/UE_4.24

26.45 GB is required

15.89 GB is available.

You need an additional 10.56 GB to perform the installation.

Error Code: IS-DS01

What I Have Tried:

Step 1. Deleted Epic Games Launcher

Step 2. Deleted All Epic/Unreal-Related Folders in the Following Places:

  • /Users/[YourUserNameHere]/Library/Logs/
  • ~/Library/Caches
  • ~/Library/Application Support/
  • /Users/Shared
  • There is no /Users/Shared/Library/Logs folder

Step 3: Reinstalled Epic Games Launcher, and ran into the same problem

Operating System: Mac

Somehow, the issue resolved on its own. After not touching Epic Game Launcher for a week, suddenly I was able to download Unreal Engine again.
