Save the World Update for UEFN / Creative 1.0

Save the World Update for UEFN / Creative 1.0

Fortnite Creative 1.0 and UEFN have received a lot of great content from different areas of Fortnite, including

modes such as Impostors, Ballistic, Rocket Racing, and others. However, one major part of Fortnite that still feels underrepresented in Creative and UEFN is Save the World.

Save the World has a huge number of unique assets, enemies, props, environmental pieces, effects, and other resources that could significantly expand the Creative ecosystem and give creators even more tools to build unique experiences.

Save the World Husks

One of the biggest additions I would love to see is the ability to use Save the World Husks in Creative and UEFN.

The Husks have unique designs, animations, behaviors, and abilities that would make them extremely valuable for creators. They could open up entirely new possibilities for PvE maps, tower-defense experiences, survival games, story-driven missions, and other types of experiences.

The existing Creature Spawner could potentially be expanded to support Husk variants, allowing creators to select different Save the World enemies and configure their behavior similarly to existing creatures.

It would also be interesting to have additional Husk-related spawn effects, such as the small Storm Twister/Tornado-style spawner and the Cube-based spawner seen in Save the World and Battle Royale.

More Save the World Assets & Resources

Beyond enemies, there are countless Save the World assets that could be useful in Creative and UEFN:

  • Save the World environmental assets and props
  • Storm-related effects and assets
  • Husk-related props and structures
  • Mission-specific assets
  • Buildings and environmental pieces
  • Additional VFX and interactive resources
  • More assets that could support PvE and objective-based experiences

We’ve already seen how providing additional resources for creatures and PvE-style gameplay can give creators more options when designing missions and experiences. Expanding that even further with Save the World content could have a similar impact.

What About Save the World Weapons?

I understand that bringing Save the World weapons into Creative/UEFN could be more complicated because of their scaling, balance, progression systems, and how they differ from standard Fortnite weapons.

Because of that, I don’t necessarily think weapons need to be part of the initial update. The enemies, assets, props, effects, and other resources would already be a huge step forward.

Why This Would Benefit Creative

Save the World has a distinct visual identity and a large amount of content that hasn’t been fully utilized by Creative creators. Bringing more of that content into Creative 1.0 and UEFN would give creators additional tools without requiring them to recreate similar assets themselves.

It could also encourage entirely new types of experiences, including:

  • Horde survival
  • Tower defense
  • PvE missions
  • Objective-based combat
  • Story-driven experiences
  • Defend-the-objective gameplay
  • Storm-themed maps
  • Save the World-inspired experiences

UEFN has already expanded the possibilities of what creators can build. Bringing more of Save the World’s content into the ecosystem would expand those possibilities even further.

I hope Epic considers giving Save the World a larger presence in Creative 1.0 and UEFN. There is a lot of great content already existing within Fortnite that could give creators more tools and help broaden the scope of what can be created.
