Build: 6.0.0-59596594+++Fortnite+Release-43.00
Summary
When the Save Point device saves and loads a player’s loadout (Save Loadout = Yes), the items are restored, but their hotbar slot positions are not. After loading, weapons and items end up in a seemingly random order instead of the order the player had arranged when the data was saved.
Use case
I save the player’s inventory when they enter a specific area and load it again when they leave. Players usually arrange their hotbar deliberately (e.g. primary weapon in slot 1, healing items in the last slots). Because the order isn’t preserved, players have to rearrange their hotbar every time they leave the area, which feels like a bug from the player’s perspective and hurts the experience.
The same applies to any island that uses Save Point loading to restore inventories, e.g. across sessions, rounds or after temporary inventory swaps.
Proposed solution
Save each item’s hotbar slot index together with the loadout, and restore items to the same slots on load.
Optionally, add a new Save Point device setting so creators can choose the behavior, for example:
Preserve Hotbar Slot Order: Yes / No
Additional suggestion
Right now the Save Point device has no Verse API, so this can’t be worked around in Verse. Exposing the Save Point functions and events (e.g. SavePlayer, LoadPlayer, PlayerLoadedEvent) to Verse would give creators more control over save and load flows in general.

I also reported a bug about the same Save Loadout feature, where an active disguise is removed on load: Save Point device with "Save Loadout" removes active disguise on load, no Disguise device events fired
