I highly recommend you to use a custom persistance code in Verse asit is far far more flexible and customizable than a Save Point device!
I made a post a few months ago about it and there are some videos that will let you know everything you need to implement that system.

Of course you can mix both options (persistance and save point device) to manage different things!
You will learn a lot by implementing this!
