Can someone explain why some maps have working persistence? For example, some ranked 1v1 maps have persistence, how did they do this?

They are older Creative maps, UEFN is still waiting for the implementation.

Are you sure because the map wasn’t made that long ago it was made in May. Also, I got in contact with one of the map makers and he said it’s a gigantic system and way too complicated for him to explain how they did it.

No, I’m not sure, just going off what I’ve read, and assuming from there.

I have read that UEFN has had no persistence since it was disabled in Nov 2022, before it went public.

So then I assume any map with working persistence is Fortnite Creative only.

I am unsure if persistence is working in Fortnite Creative after devices have been converted to 2.0.
