Hi All
I was wondering if any of you had any experience with a “Sanity Texturing Error”.
TLDR I am using my normal process and have recently started getting an error message during the texturing process which stops the texturing due to a “Sanity Check” Error. However having done some Googling I can’t actually work out what this error relates to.
In more detail
I am currently importing roughly 500 images of an object into reality capture. These images are 16bit TIFFs, which I allow Reality Capture to convert to 8bits for alignment and meshing (the standard 16 bit workflow). The point cloud and mesh layer look good to me so I then move onto texturing. However it is here I encounter the sanity check error.
I have tried reimporting the images and doing the process from the beginning, I have checked that the texturing is being completed at the texturing layer, and I have tried unwrapping and retexturing (the only troubleshooting suggestion I could find online) and like I say there are no obvious issues with the alignment and mesh, however I still get the same error.
The only thing I can think of is that there is some issue with the TIFFs themselves. Fortunately I do have the RAWs and can re-export, but before I go through all that again I wanted to check if there was something silly I was missing, and if anyone knew what the “Sanity Check” was actually referring to?
Please see below for the texturing settings I am currently using.
