hey i have a problem with an tutorial(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rw8qDmFGsRo) (2:43:30). When I add the Water Normal it says Sampler is Normal, it should be color and leads me to the defaultlayer materialFunktion. When i rewhatch the vid he said that it has to be normal and also when i change it up it doesnt work. Any Ideas?
This error means that you have a mismatch between the texture type and type of the slot for it in the material. So, change either here:

Yea i thought so too. But it doesnt change it(btw it is in a material function)
but when i change this up, it doesnt change the outcome and also when i change the other ones.
Is it maybe cause auf the image?:
Can you open the material, show stats window, jump to the “Texture Sample” that stats window points to and show analog of my first screenshot?
For anyone struggling with this in the future (from this specific tutorial), within the Material (M_Landscape), change all the layer normal maps from default texture to a normal map. This is where the error was for me
