Always getting the same crash when using path tracer in Preview 2 (see below).
One machine running an RTX2080Ti, the other an RTX 3070Ti. Half of the time when the path tracer does not force a crash it will render from a lit to a completely black screen. Enabling HRDI environment fixes the black screen issue, but repeatedly crashes regardless.
I edited my registry to delay GPU processing - Did not improve
Updated and attempted both current game ready and studio drivers for both cards - Did not improve
Disabled secondary monitors - Did not improve
Restored graphics card settings to factory on both machines (no overclock) - Did not improve
As I have been working in Preview 1 since it released none of my projects are backwards compatible with previous versions. One machine auto updated to Preview 2. The other machine did not, however when attempting to open Preview 1 on the other machine it forced an update and would not open Preview 1.
It needs to be made clear to users the risks they are taking by utilizing these preview versions as opposed to the standard releases, or there needs to be more clear and accessible backwards compatibility options. I now have impending client deadlines to meet and am essentially dead in the water.
