Same animation on different meshes

Hey guys! So I’ve created a mesh for my character and I want to animate it. I find it quite difficult so I have to ask is there any way to add animations from unreal marketplace to my mesh or I have to create my own animations?

You need to make sure you give the mesh for your character a skeleton first

So if I create the same skeleton and apply it to a mesh, I can just then use animations from the marketplace, right?

You need to make sure the skeleton is made the same (same bone names etc) as the skeleton the animations use, then yes. There is a way to transfer animations to other skeletons but I haven’t done that myself, you could have a look in the documentation for some answers on that
