Saci: The Cursed Hunt – Survival Horror Meets Brazilian Mythology

I’m excited to share the teaser trailer for my first survival horror game, “Saci: The Cursed Hunt”! :video_game:

Set deep in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, “Saci: The Cursed Hunt” throws you into a survival horror adventure inspired by Brazilian folklore. You find yourself stranded in the jungle, only to discover that something terrifying is stalking you: the Saci. This isn’t the playful trickster from stories - it’s a darker, more vengeful version, with a chilling backstory and deadly abilities. The further you venture, the more you realize you’re not just trying to survive the jungle - you’re being hunted.

I’ve worked in visual effects for nearly 20 years, specializing in virtual production and cinematic visuals. With “Saci: The Cursed Hunt”, I wanted to merge my experience with storytelling and technology to create something deeply connected to my Brazilian heritage. This game is a passion project that reimagines folklore with a darker, more immersive twist. From towering trees to hidden paths and rivers, the entire forest is built using PCG, so it’s always changing. Every playthrough feels fresh, keeping you on edge as you navigate the unpredictable Amazon.

Hello @MarcosSilva ! Welcome back to posting with us here on the forums!

Learning that Saci was not only a unique survival horror experience but also one with your heritage involved was thrilling. Sharing culture through creations like this is a fascinating and fun way to connect globally. Your graphics, sound design, and lighting are all wonderfully done. I know this is only a teaser of what will come with Saci: The Cursed Hunt, but I can’t wait to learn more and see the development thrive. If I may ask, how did you get that dynamic flashlight effect? It’s not something that I normally see often.

Keep up the awesome work!
