So i made model based on real life units in meters and ir 30m x 15m.
When i put it in level it feels huge.
Is there any difference at all if models are life size or not?
Unreal Engine uses the Metric System and centimeters as its default unit. A meter is a meter in UE and any dcc.
You can go to side or front orthographic view and middle mouse press drag to measure. If it’s not 30x15m, chances are the settings where you authored the model are different to Unreal.
But does it affect performance?
The dimensions of the static mesh? No.
The density… yes.
