This tool allows to merge several Skeletal Meshes into one new Skeletal Mesh asset. It can be used for merging parts of modular characters into one asset.
Easy to use - just add skeletal meshes to the list, select target skeleton and click Generate Skeletal Mesh button.
Supports Clothing assets merge.
Materials optimization - Remove unused materials and does not create copies of the material sections with the same material.
Hello, this plugin only works with merging skeletal meshes within a single skeleton. In the city sample each crowd character is a separate skeleton. But with this plugin you can merge Meta Humans to improve performance.
The Store front states Supports merging of Morph Targets
It did not when I tried to use it. Then when I went to the documentation is states that morph targets are not supported. Please change the store front or fix the bug when you can.
Ignore the beard movement I saw. That was coming in via a material.
If you can fix that bug it would be greatly appreciated
Hi, as I see your asset uses ARkit morph targets. I checked on a asset with simmular setup Fab and after the merge, all head morphs work.
The problem could be because different parts of the modular character use the same material, which is why the morph targets may not transfer correctly, but as I see, in your character they are different for each body part.
I would be happy to help you figure out how to solve your problem but I will need your assets. You can contact me via mail sasha.ravinsky@gmail.com
