Running unreal editor with firepro 7100

we have ust got a new workstation and are having problems using the unreal editor it keeps reporting poor spec machine

but we have dual firepro 7100 (8gb ram each in a case with dual xeon and 64gb ram

any suggestions?

Hey db805,

When you say it keeps reporting poor spec, do you mean that it’s automatically changing your scalability settings (Toolbar>Settings>Engine Scalability)?

I meant that the unreal editor was showing a message about minimum hardware requirements rather than showing any content, I will look at the engine scalability options

Can you screenshot that? I can’t say I’ve ever seen the message.

And can I get your dxdiag info?

i dont suppose it would it matter that this is hooked up to an 8k screen?

8K? I didn’t think those were available

Really? We have a couple around the lab… the 84" 4ks were too small

Sorry, busy time at work, we did get the editor running on our 8k matrix however performance was very very slow. We think this may be down to a lack of sync between the two GPU’s driving it. We have AMD engineers visiting today. will try and update this
