Ruins in UE 5.4 Photorealistic scene Lumen+Ray tracing

Hello everyone! My name is Aurora. I want to show you my new ruin scene, which I made using VDB textures, as well as photogrammetry, which I made using RealityCapture. I got the idea to make 2 versions of the scene, one day, the other night. Look how the mood has changed. I also have the final video on YouTube. My goal is to make a photorealistic scene every time to show the capabilities of UE5.

I am absolutely impressed by this work is really amazing, I kept look at it in loop because it’s look so realistic ! Really impressed and hope we can see more of this work in the future. Btw the little fish in the lake, how you made them ? Night is absolutely stunning with the moon shade, love it.

Thank you so much! I always try to follow the reality as I see it in life. I used the fish VFX from Underwater Blueprint by karim aboushousha you can get it absolutely free on Gumroad.
At night, I turned off all the directional lights, which allowed me to get the effect of a real night. I always found it strange to see a blue sky at night in games. After all, a real night is black, especially when there is a moon.

Indeed the dark night it’s much more attractive then the classic blue noir effect, and I really love the godray from moon too. I’m new in photorealistic so how you made the scan of the tree asset ? Is there any tutorial I can read about ? Thx and hope see soon some new work

I think you can watch the tutorial by William Faucher https://youtu.be/B5hBBFM2I_w?si=0pGEuh4Ddy0M6z5r

I do it in a similar way, and process the finished 3D model in Blender. I used to work as a photographer for many years, so the photo part is the easiest for me, haha

Thank you! I hope your journey through photorealism will be successful!

I worked on an AAA project, so that experience gave me endurance and perseverance, as well as seeing things through to the end. The main thing in photorealism is not to rush, and to try different solutions.
