RTK photo import and alignment settings

I use an Autel Evo II RTK drone connected to a NTRIP network and GPS coordinates are written to the image metadata with an accuracy of around 2 or 3 cm (per the controller readout prior to mission). I suspect that in the Alignment Settings > Camera Prior Settings > Position Accuracy fields I can put in a value of 0.02 m for the X, Y, and Z position accuracy. However there is also the fields for “Position/ Orientation Prior Hardness” and “Yaw Pitch Roll Accuracy” which I assume are in units of degrees. I do not know what could be put here.

I do not use ground control points in any of my projects.

I have used Metashape in the past and there was simply a checkbox for RTK when importing. It would be nice to have some description of what to do in CR.

Would someone please share their initial workflow steps when their images are captured with RTK accuracy?

Thank you

Hi curt4moto,

those are rotation angles from which can be computed orientation of the images. If you don’t have these data you don’t need to change those settings.

Do you have also something like a flight log from your flights or just info written into the images?

OK,

It is my understanding that the info is written right into the image files as the image is recorded. I would like to know how to make CR aware of the RTK accuracy

If I do a mission, I will get a rinex file but I believe that should only be needed for PPK workflow.

If the accuracy is written with the coordinates you will see that accuracy when you select the image in 1Ds view:

There you can set it for each image.

You can also use Global camera priors settings which can be set under Alignment tab/Registration/Settings/Camera priors settings

Also, when you are sure with the values, you can set them higher value for Position prior hardness.
