[ROYALTY] NIGHT EVIL – Looking for Unreal Engine 5 Team Members
Project Overview
Hello everyone,
I’m looking for passionate Unreal Engine 5 developers to join NIGHT EVIL, a story-driven third-person open-world action game.
The project focuses on cinematic storytelling, tactical combat, player choice, and psychological world design.
This is currently a Royalty / Revenue Share project. I cannot offer upfront payment. If the game is successfully released and generates revenue, profits will be shared with team members according to an agreed arrangement.
Game Summary

Third-person tactical combat
Four playable protagonists
Multiple story routes and endings
Psychological perception system where every protagonist experiences the world differently
Dynamic atmosphere, lighting, color grading, music and sound depending on the character

Thank you for reading, and I hope to build an ambitious project with passionate developers.
Hey! My studio can cover your core production pipeline across Environment Art, 3D Characters, Rigging/Animation, Tech Art and UI/UX directly in Unreal Engine 5. We specialize in modular open world environment building UE5 skeleton character setup clean material/shader optimization and HUD design to match AAA cinematic aesthetics. We understand the revenue share structure and are eager to support an ambitious story driven project like NIGHT EVIL. Which section of the open-world map or character setup is currently your highest priority to get production ready first?
Hello, thank you for reaching out about NIGHT EVIL.
I have reviewed your previous work.
At this stage, my priority is developing a small prototype before moving into full production.
The initial priorities are:
A small section of New York City, not the entire city.
Leon’s character setup in Unreal Engine 5, including the basic character rig and animations.
A third-person over-the-shoulder combat system to demonstrate the core gameplay.
A small playable environment to establish the visual direction, lighting, and atmosphere.
If the prototype is successful, we can gradually expand the project into the larger open world and additional systems.
Regarding revenue sharing, I am open to discussing a partnership-based model. However, I would first like to understand your team’s capabilities, workflow, previous UE5 projects, and proposed scope before discussing financial terms.
I have already reviewed your portfolio, so please send me any playable UE5 projects or gameplay prototypes your team has worked on, along with information about your team and its roles.

I’m reaching out regarding the Unreal Engine 5 Gameplay Programmer position for NIGHT EVIL. With extensive experience building modular C++ gameplay architectures, combat frameworks, and character systems in UE5, I would love to contribute to realizing your tactical combat and character-driven systems.
Relevant Technical Fit for NIGHT EVIL:
Tactical & Modular Combat Systems: Designed an extensible component-based weapon architecture (UWeaponSystemComponent) handling hitscan line-traces, ammo pools, socket attachment, and sphere-trace melee systems decoupled via dynamic delegates.
Locomotion & Animation Pipeline: Built curve-driven Turn-In-Place systems (90°/180°), aim offsets, and Linked Animation Layer pipelines (LinkAnimClassLayers) capable of injecting distinct animation sets across multiple character archetypes.
State & Perception Mechanics: Architected real-time dynamic state machines altering movement profiles, character physics, and animation sets based on status conditions—readily adaptable to your psychological perception and trauma systems.
Inventory & UI Architecture: Engineered spatial 2D grid inventory systems, item data assets (UPrimaryDataAsset), and event-driven HUDs built on C++ base classes and Slate/UMG.
I understand the project’s current revenue-share model and would be glad to discuss how I can help establish a clean, scalable C++ framework for your four protagonists and tactical combat mechanics.
Thank you for reaching out and for explaining your experience.
Your UE5/C++ experience seems relevant to the gameplay systems I’m planning for NIGHT EVIL, particularly the modular combat, character systems, animation framework, and state/perception mechanics.
Before discussing the revenue-share arrangement, I’d like to learn more about your previous work.
Could you send me:
Examples of playable UE5 projects or gameplay systems you have developed.
Videos or demonstrations of your combat and character systems.
Your availability and expected role in the NIGHT EVIL prototype.
Whether you would be working independently or as part of a team.
The initial goal is a small playable prototype focused on Leon, third-person over-the-shoulder combat, a small section of New York, basic enemy AI, weapons, and character systems.
Once I have a better understanding of your work and capabilities, we can discuss the project and partnership structure in more detail.
I came across your recruitment post for NIGHT EVIL on the forums and was really drawn to the ambitious narrative and psychological world design you have planned. I am interested in joining your team as a 3D Environment & Prop Artist / Stylized & Real time Asset Creator.
I have hands on experience in building optimized game ready 3D assets modular environment kits and PBR texturing tailored for Unreal Engine 5 workflows. My pipeline involves clean modeling UV unwrapping and material setup to ensure high visual quality while keeping performance stable inside UE5. I completely understand and respect that this is currently a long-term revenue-share / royalty project and I’m enthusiastic about collaborating on a strong cinematic vision.
You can review my previous work and portfolio here:ArtStation - Piper_xe. I would love to connect further discuss your visual direction for cities like the reimagined New York or Paris and see how my skill set can best support your level design and environment needs.
Thanks for reaching out again. I’ve already reviewed your portfolio and I’ve also previously shared the prototype priorities for NIGHT EVIL.
Since you’re interested in joining the project, I’d like to know what role you would specifically take within the prototype and what you would be able to contribute to the initial New York environment.
Also, please let me know whether you are working independently or as part of a team, and what other roles your team can cover if applicable.
Once I understand your availability and the scope you can cover, we can discuss the next step.
Thank you for reaching out. I’ve listened to your portfolio and I’m interested in learning more about your work.
For NIGHT EVIL, I’m looking for music that can support different characters, emotions, locations, and gameplay situations, rather than only standalone tracks.
Could you tell me more about your experience with cinematic/game music and whether you can compose music specifically around characters and gameplay situations?
I’m currently building the team, so once I have a clearer structure for the project, we can discuss the music direction and collaboration in more detail.
