[ROYALTY] Looking for sports game enthusiast devs to grow our team and help us build proof of concept demos for controller/control scheme

Hi there!

We are a small hardware development team that has been working on the Gemini controller for the past 5 years. The Gemini controller is a unique controller with extra inputs that give players more control over their game avatars.

The Gemini controller’s main features:
It has 3 extra wrist axes and thumbsticks with Z-axes that give the option to have greater control so players have more interesting ways to manipulate game avatars.

Example:
In a boxing game, the Gemini controller could be used to control the boxer’s arms separately with the left and right sticks, while the wrist controls are used to move the boxer avatar. This would allow players to precisely control the direction, power, and speed of their punches.

Games with complex mechanics such as sports games struggle to translate all the intricate movements of real-life sports to the limited options of default game controllers. The results are usually full of compromises: Abstract stick and button combinations that are anything but intuitive and easy to memorize. With our controller and control method users can perform complex moves with more accuracy and realism and without the need to memorize abstract and unintuitive stick/button combinations.

We are seeking creative developers who are not afraid to think outside the box. We can provide them with controller prototypes to test and encourage them to build simple, proof-of-concept demos that can validate the controls for sports games.

These should be quick and dirty mini-games with an emphasis on the controls/mechanics and physics, not on the visuals.
We’re focusing on these sports:

  • Boxing
  • Ice hockey (we have a demo that is around 70% finished)
  • Soccer
  • American football
  • Skateboarding
  • Surfing
or any other sports game that can exploit the capabilities of the Gemini controller
