Description:
Hello, I am looking for an experienced and proficient C++ lead programmer who will be in charge of majority of the core functionality that will make up our game titled Trigger Hurt. Our game is based on a Half-life mod called The Specialists which was heavily inspired by movies like The Matrix and other high action 90’s films.
Here are a list of core features that the lead programmer should be able to create all in a multiplayer setting:
-
Player activated slow motion around the players’ radius and line of sight to other players
-
Slow motion also slows down physics, bullets, particles, and sounds.
-
Weapons and equipment management, from UI, weapon switching, swapping and dropping, to weapon attributes, etc.
-
Weapon/equipment weight system that slows down player and prevents certain stunts.
-
Recreated Half-life (GoldSrc) movement including ground and air acceleration and strafing, “surfing” on ramps, and bunny hopping.
-
A multitude of player activated stunts such as diving, sliding, rolling, flipping, and wall jumping, most being able to be used in conjunction with each other.
-
Martial arts fighting capabilities with variations of punching and kicking as well as combos and special attacks.
-
Seamless character animation blending while performing stunts, kung fu, and shooting.
-
Gamemodes such as deathmatch, king of the hill, capture the flag.
-
Multiple forms of powerups for the player to pickup that spawn in determined locations.
Game State:
This project has been in development since 2016 and we were able to create a sort of pre-prototype version as you can see here:
Bringing on a new lead programmer, we’d most likely start anew utilizing our existing assets.

If you are interested and strongly confident in creating these features, I am offering a paid position and a royalty benefit for the completion of our game. Please contact me in any form below, my name is Nick and I go by Dementei. Thanks for reading and I look forward to your responses!
