Rounding edges for 3D Models

Hi there ! I’m a beginner in UEFN and I have been struggling finding how to round edges of a 3D shape like a box for example. Usually in other softwares like Fusion360 there is a function called “Fillet” which allows me to do this task quite easily but I can’t find something similar in the UEFN. I’d appreciate it if someone could help. Thanks !

Would love to know how to do this too

Hi all,

Using Modeling mode in UEFN: I created a Box (You’ll get better results if you increase Height/Depth/Width Subdivisions)

Then I used the Deform → Smooth tool to round the edges.

I just looked up the Fusion 360 “Fillet” tool. I think the UEFN analog would be the ‘Bevel’ function.

Poly Edit → ‘PolyGroup Edit’ button → Select Edge → Bevel

Correct, In the modeling tools we have a Bevel function that right now it only allows for a hard edge and its size. However you can repeat this process carefully and make a round looking bevel or fillet.

In Modeling tools go to: PolyGroup Edit > Select all edges

In Edge Edits: Click on Bevel

Repeat the process to get a few more faces

Then you can play with the Normals to make it seem more round without too many facets. A little trial and error will be necessary to get to where you want.

In the Modeling tools go to: Attributes > Edit Normals

Then: Normal Topology > Split Normal Method > Face Normal Threshold

Hope this helps.
