Any rotation results in black spots all over the skin and when I rotate it back they go away.
(the only change to this project was that I dropped to DirectX 11 as was crashing with DX12)
I believe this issue is now being investigated but figured I’d post this here so others have a place to go for answers @ParnsipsMoney also had this issue as posted a thread here:
You are on to something with it being in the VR template. Since I can load a metahuman into the blank game and rotate with no issue. Hopefully its resolved soon. I’ll post here if I find a solution
Have you been able to resolve this issue? It seems I have encountered a similar issue when adding a metahuman in the VR template, it shows black spots once you add the live link face animations to them.
I have resolved the issue, since my project was made with the VR template, Forward Shading was enabled in the project settings (under Rendering). Simply disabling this made the black spots disappear. (Keep in mind the performance was worse once disabled)
In addition to this, to fix the crashing issue (where you have to change from DX12 to 11) you can change the Target Hardware in project settings to be set to Desktop instead of Mobile (when using the VR template)
Awesome glad you found a fix to it! I just got a message back from someone else suggesting this fix (I just ran into this issue, just disconnect the World Offset in the skin materials ( face and body ) ) I came back here to make sure to let you know. Thanks for letting me know what worked for you
