Rotating a AI Character with animation, how/where to update AI rotation to new direction??

Hi, I am trying to use a animation to rotate my AI character, using a state machine. It blends into another animation afterwards, currently blending the AI back towards the direction it started at. How and where do i update the capsule rotation i presume? with the mesh rotation i presume? at the right time and direction to smoothly carry on the animation.

I have messed around with root bone, force lock and world locations but never seem to get it to transition smoothly just teleports… Please Help!
