Rotate my VR pawn using only the HMD

Hello! I would like to rotate my VR pawn (wich is always running) using only the HMD (so without motion controller input). The problem is when I run and turn my head to a new waypoint I can rotate the pawn, but I have to turn my head back to my “real life forward” and the waypoint sets back to original rotation. So how to rotate in direction and then not rotate back?
