I am using the “Stand to roll” animation from Mixamo in order to implement a rolling system. I enabled root motion to allow the character to be moved by the roll. However, whenever the animation ends, the character is tilted slightly towards the top left. I cannot turn off root rotation, as that would cause the character to just hover to its destination. Is there a way to reset the root’s rotation after an animation? A video of the problem is attached.
Hey @MaxwellFilms!
The easiest thing to do here would just be to look for another dodge roll animation- this one doesn’t resolve correctly. Otherwise, you will have to open it in a dedicated animation program and edit the animation to finish the roll anim with Y rotation at 0 (Unreal MAY be able to do this- Anyone who sees this and is familiar with the new animation editor please say so!).
Alright, so I got a bit… sidetracked, but I ended up having to go into blender and manually making it end in the same pose it began in. This still didn’t work, but it turned out that once I did that, I just had to set the blend in and blend out times to zero, and that fixed it with that altered animation. Thanks for your help with this!
