I have a character in a level sequence with an animation applied to the skeletal mesh, the animation contains root motion.
The character does not currently have root motion. However when i toggle on the skeleton in the animation track, you can see that there is indeed root motion.
From your provided description and screenshot, it seems like the animation’s root motion and the character itself are not properly alligned. Please test the root motion process steps, in order to correct the issue. You can find the documentation below, as well as a short tutorial:
Thanks for the response, however I found that the problem was simply that my skeletons root bone retarget setting was set to skeleton which prevents root motion. Setting it to animation allows it to work again
